As a multiuser online application, it runs right in your employee's browser (currently Internet Explorer 7, Safari, FireFox, and Netscape). This means it's compatible with Macs or PCs, can be accessed by any number of established users from any location in the world at any time. It can be secured, and never needs to be installed, updated, or backed up—we do it all for you. And for all this convenience and power to make your business more profitable and more accountable, you simply pay a small monthly charge.

Reports and Output

• Invoices and quotes can be output right to the screen as HTML for printing or creating PDFs*, or in a downloadable XML or tab-delimited file for import into Adobe InDesign, Quark Xpress, or Microsoft Word.
• Invoice projects by 1) set amounts incrementally, 2) by charges-to-date, 3) by quote, or 4) by the entire project
• Invoices can be recorded to a simple accounts receivable for easy tracking and payment

Security

• User passwords use the formidable SHA-1 one-way encryption method developed by the National Security Agency (forgotten passwords cannot be retrieved, only reissued)
• All transactions from your computer to DesignSoft servers use standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption (same as used by e-commerce sites, such as Amazon)
• Your data is stored behind an industrial strength firewall
• Our servers are monitored 24-7 for any suspicious activity or attempts at unauthorized access
• All transactions are "mirrored" securely to a remote server
• Your data is encrypted and backed up hourly to a different secure server, and can only be decrypted by local Designsoft computers
• DesignSoft only accesses the servers and database through secure SSH tunneling
• Your data is stored in such a way that even DesignSoft personnel do not have easy access, and then only 4 people have this capability
