How do I uninstall StopWatch and transfer it to a new machine, drive, or OS

To move StopWatch to a new machine or same machine with a new compatible OS, you must first transfer and uninstall it from the original machine and email the transfer verification file as described below. After your verification file has been received your record will be stamped for 1 free unlock of the same version and the same compatible OS. No exceptions.

Start StopWatch
Select "Transfer Registration" under the StopWatch "Edit" menu
Click the "Uninstall" button
When prompted save the "StopWatch Transfer File" to your desktop
Start your E-mail application and attach the "StopWatch Transfer File" to an E-mail with your company info and send it to: unlock@designsoft.com
Your company record will be credited for a StopWatch transfer unlock of the same version.
(This version is for machines running Mac OS9.x or earlier. This version is NOT compatible with machines running OS-X)

StopWatch for Mac OS9 - The application is installed in the Apple Menu Items Folder which is located inside the System Folder. To launch the application Choose StopWatch under the Apple Menu. If you would prefer to start StopWatch from somewhere else besides the Apple Menu then make an Alias of StopWatch, after it has been unlocked, and move the Alias any where you wish. Never move the actual StopWatch application outside of the Apple Menu Items folder.

EXPORTING TIME: Can I use my time sheet data in other applications?
You sure can. StopWatch time sheets can be read directly by either DesignSoft Creative Billing or DesignSoft Time Sheet Manager and it can be read by many third party applications as well.

Since the time sheet file is saved as a as generic tab delimited text file it can also be read by spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications with no data conversion at all. (just make sure to tell your third party app that you want to open a text file.) We are often asked if it can be read by many popular third party accounting applications. We have no information about any accounting application that can import time from text files. But it is worth a check with your applications developer to see if it can. You should also consider ordering Time Sheet Manager which can import and organize your time sheets and then export just the specific data you wish to use in the third party application on a case-by-case basis.

The location of the time sheet file for Mac OS is the Preferences Folder (located inside the System Folder.) The name of the file is "stopwatch file" (Not to be confused with the "stopwatch preferences" file in the same folder.)
The location of the time sheet file for Windows OS is the StopWatch Folder. The name of the file is "watch.txt"

Never try to access the file when StopWatch is running.
